La Vegetariana Loca

Here are some random ramblings of a girl that will probably end up in an insane asylum sometime in her near future...Kookookachoo. She loves her Queen, she loves her Beatles and her Who and her Zeppy and her music in general. She loves her writing. She loves love. And she loves you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Moved.:)

www.zombieprogeny.blogspot.com

That is my new blog. I will try to post more frequently, but any sort of updates will be there now.

It is not pink, either. Which is a plus, I suppose. =D

Outgrown this blog?

I feel like I have. I mean, hell, I've taken this hot pink tumor of a thing--that I love dearly--through so many transformations, first being a Queen fan blog, then a I'm-a-whiny-teenager-and-I'll-blog-what-I-want-to blog (with some posts that make me blush, now), to a general music blog (but then I realized I can't keep up with music news worth a damn).

So, what now? I still love blogging. I've had blogging ideas. But to be honest, everytime I have one, I think, "That doesn't match my blog format." (Or what's left of one.)

So I'm thinking of making another blog.

I went to Wordpress. Yes, I'm a Blogger cheater. I'm a terrible person.

BUT SOMEBODY TOOK MY CATCH-ALL USERNAME (2happy4emo). I have been using this since about 7th grade--4 years ago--and I have never had anybody else using it. Ever.

I've also used pretty much the same password since then. That's TOTALLY secure. XD

Anyway. I'm thinking of making another blog. One that's not so blindingly pink. Or juvenile (I mean, for crying out loud, I made this thing when I was 13.).

So, greysqueenfest.blogspot.com, it's not me, it's you. I won't delete you. I love you. But it's just not going to work out for a future for us, I don't think.

I'll keep you guys updated (and by "you guys," I mean, "Danny" because I'm pretty sure nobody else follows this thing) with my new URL. :)

And it'll probably be Blogger. For Wordpress is...kinda icky. I don't like it. Blargh.

I'm in such a good mood...

Zieg heil to the president gas-man. ;)

So I'm posting lots of Green Day! First of all, here's "Know Your Enemy," their new single. ^_^

Working Class Hero...

(^Every time I see this video, I feel really helpless...does anybody know any good groups that are trying to help the situation in Darfur?)

(This one, I don't care for the song so much on its own, but coupled with the video, it makes me wanna cry.XD)

And then this one! Just because it's fun. =] Tre Cool makes an awesome drag queen.

Call me a bad person, but it really annoys me when they get censored.XD Does it annoy anyone else? Like in St. Jimmy on MTV, they bleep out the word "dope" but not "bitch." Does that make sense? No...Just on the whole, it takes away a lot from the songs, I think.

Also, does anybody know where I can find videos that will play in all regions? For instance, I'll post a video (I'm in the US) and my boyfriend (in the UK) can't watch it. I don't care too much for Youtube because the quality's kind of crap, but MTV only works in the US. Help?

I had such a weird dream a few nights ago! I was a witch or something like that in a Victorian village in England, I was being chased around by these people bearing torches and pitch forks. Just a little scary.

I kept running until I made it to the edge of a cliff or something like that; whatever it was, I couldn't run anymore. I turned around, absolutely terrifying.

Then I see an Escalade roll up. Jimmy Page--circa The Song Remains the Same

--stuck his head out of the window and said, "Well, are you coming?"

What did I do? Silly people. Why would you ask that? I got in the car with the stranger, of course. ;)

We drove to the western coast of Ireland, I think it was, and we were looking out at the Atlantic Ocean. I started freaking out, saying that we had nothing left to do but turn back.

Jimmy rolled his eyes. "Don't be stupid. We keep driving, of course."

And we did. Across the Atlantic Ocean. On top of the water. In an Escalade.

There were houses and shops all over the place, all with a very driftwood look, on stilts on top of the water. We even went into one convenience store and bought Cokes.

Then we got back in the car and went to Jamaica.

When we got there, we chilled on the beach, and Jimmy looked kinda like this:

So yeah...Magical Mystery Tour has NOTHING on me!

Videos of the week.

That's right. I have dos. Both Beck. =] Nausea and E-Pro. I'm being eaten alive by preparing for finals, and a few other personal things are going into me being a bad blog master again. So...Sorry.XD

Enjoy.^_^

Sorry the vid of the week is so late...

Having issues with family. My granddad's in hospice...in Alaska. His cancer's really, really bad. Please pray for him/send him good vibes/think good thoughts about him/whatever it is you do.

I know I probably shouldn't put rap on here, but I really like this track. And it's not really a video, but hey, deal.:P And no, I'm not a Hare Krishna. But this is making me feel a lot better.

Video of the Week!

All These Things I've Done! THE KILLERS! =D

Great, great song. One of my favorite lyrics ever is in it. :) "I've got soul, but I'm not a soldier." Yes, I am horrendously corny for that. But do I care? Why, no. No, I don't.

Going to keep this one short. Lindsay's here. :) She's leaving early tomorrow, so I'm wanting to relish my time with her, dadbernit.

How about some icing on the douche bag cake?

Okay, so that's a REALLY immature title. And it's probably really immature of me to still be annoyed about this. But...Deal wiz it. ;)

I was in my chorus director's office today, looking something up on his computer. Girl comes in. Completely ignores me. Does the I'm-not-looking-at-you glance and everything. Director comes in.

"Hey, Big Mac!" She says. (That's seriously his nickname.)
"Yeah?"
"I still get a copy of BohRhap, right?"
"If I have extras."

At this point, I look up and said, kind of laughing, "What about me?"

Got COMPLETELY ignored. They both walked out of the office.

Oh...and another thing that I'm finding to be a pet peeve. And this is going to sound VERY nerdy of me. And I don't care.

I'm in AP Statistics. So I've spent the whole year basically learning how to properly run surveys.

Have you ever seen those "best of" lists on the web? Where they do polls on your favorite band or whatever?

They're a load of crap.XD The answers are innaccurate because of bias and you're not getting a random sample and...

In short, I'm thinking about doing my own kind of survey.

A proper one.

On music.

Oh, yeeeeeeeeah.

No more Brian May ranked #39 on a list of great guitarists, behind Kurt Cobain. NO MOOOOORE.

So...Favorite band, I suppose? I'm not sure how to go about this. I'll get back to you guys. :)

Do you like Bohemian Rhapsody?

Queen Japan Pictures, Images and Photos
Better question: who DOESN'T like Bohemian Rhapsody? (If you don't, I advise that you evacuate this blog before I find out.)

I like Bohemian Rhapsody. Scratch that. I ADOOOOOOOOOOOORE Bohemian Rhapsody. It's one of my all-time favorite songs by my all-time favorite band. If you've kept up with this blog even a little, you know how obsessive I am over Queen. Yes, I'm recovering, but there's still that level of obsession.

Bohemian Rhapsody is the number one selling single EVER in the UK.

Freddie Mercury's favorite color was yellow.

Roger Taylor was almost a dentist.

Brian May's favorite movie is The Wizard of Oz. He's also a Starwars enthusiast.

John Deacon was planning on being an engineer before he became a big-time musician.

You see what I mean? Girl likes some Queen. Very, very, very much so.

So much so that I have been for TWO YEARS asking my chorus director to let us sing Bohemian Rhapsody in chorus.

The last time I asked him was a few months ago. He said he couldn't find an arrangement he liked.

I asked him many other times. Said he'd think about it.

I even offered to write research papers for him. I even spent an entire day watching whatever clips on the making of the song that I could find, taking notes. I had paaaaaages of notes.

So, guess what song we're doing in chorus for the spring concert?

...

NOT BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!

This is my last concert for chorus. Well, besides one in New York. Last school one, anyway. And you want to know what we're singing?

The STUPIDEST version of Frere Jacques I've ever heard. Yep. ARE YOU SLEEPING BROTHER JOHN.

Want to know what the icing on the cake is? Oh, it gets better. SO much better.

VARSITY IS DOING BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY.

I was SO pissed.

I'm in advanced. And I'm not doing chorus next year. I'm taking Spanish 3 and AP Psychology instead. Mainly because I really don't like our director. Other things came into play, too, but that was a huge factor.

But when I came into class today and saw some Varsity kids standing around with Bohemian Rhapsody in there hands, one of them (badly) playing it on piano, it took all I had not to cry.

Granted, I'm a crybaby. I cry over everything. Just how I am. But still...

At the end of class today, I went up to the front of the room and asked my director when he had decided to let Varsity do Bohemian Rhapsody.

"About two weeks ago."

"Oh...okay. Wow, break my heart, why don't you? Ha ha."

"Oh, what? Do you like Queen or something?"

-silence-

"They're my favorite band." EVER EVER EVER EVER EVERRRR!!! (I wanted to punch him in the face at this point.)

"Oh, well that's too bad. Too bad you're not in Varsity next year!"

"Yeah. Ha. Ha. Can I have a photocopy of the sheet music?"

(A PHOTOCOPY!!!)

"Sure. If I have extras. Maybe."

BISMILLAH!!!

I'm still angry. XD

I know it's stupid. I know I shouldn't be this upset. But here's the truth. The stupid, childish truth. I can't sing. I know that. But I sound pretty good in an ensemble. I sing on the front row in my chorus, even. In concerts, anyway. Now, I've always had this silly little dream that I could sing Bohemian Rhapsody on stage. Or some other Queen song. Or Led Zeppelin. Or SOMETHING other than Frere freakin' Jacques or another song about Mother Mary or some crap in church Latin. But I realized this would never happen unless my director assigned it.

Because I suck at solo work. Royally suck.

Me? In a band? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

And now I'll never get another shot at singing something like that on stage. =D

Not a happy camper right now. XD

Had to vent. Sorry about that, guys. I have to be a whiney teenager sometimes.

Upside...because I want to show that I'm not all cheese and whine.:P I got second place in Young Author's Fair at county level, and Lindsay, my best friend from Indiana, is coming to visit. So this is good.

Very good.

...

I'm going to go start my homework before I start ranting again.

I want to apologize...

First of all for the stupid ad at the top. I did NOT put it there. I don't know why it's there. Quite frankly, it annoys me a bit. Same with the random pop ups I'm getting...I don't know how to get rid of them. Help?

Secondly, for forgetting the vid of the week last week! So here it is.

I forgot for good reason. I'm in looooooooove. XD With my turntable. I cracked out Thriller and Tommy and...I couldn't stop. It was nice. I highly recommend it. ;)

This made my week!

Alright, so I'm tired from a chorus thing and tomorrow I'm leaving for a writing competion (Essay! Yaaaaaaay.), so I wanted to go ahead and post the fantastic video of the week.

I promist this blog isn't being reduced to just videos! I've just been really covered up and tired lately and...yeah, you know that by now, I think.

Oh, and Green Day's coming out with a new album soon! I don't know much about this, except that it's out sometime in April, there's a single preceding it, and it's supposed to be a concept album. I'll post more when I hear more.

Anyway! Video! Just came out this Tuesday, I think. Somewhere around there. Took everything I had not to post it then.XD
